There are always signs that you’re getting older.
I realized this morning when I woke up at 8am that I am officially an adult. I remember the days when I’d sleep in until 1 or 2 in the afternoon, and I always wondered why my parents would be up and awake a good 5 or 6 hours before me… it was baffling! Why not sleep in on the weekends??
Now that’s not the only “old” feeling today - I also bought Halloween candy. Not just for me, but for trick-or-treaters. Oy vei, I’m going to have kids coming to my house for Halloween!
Just in case you were unaware, the left lane of the highway is called the “fast” lane. If for some reason you see people passing you on the right or a massive line of cars behind you, get the FRICK OVER!!
Love Meghan
I have just finished the last season of The Tudors - the story of King Henry VIII of England and his six brides. The four season show follows Henry from the beginning of the end of his marriage with his first wife Catherine of Aragon and the beginning of his marriage with Anne Boleyn (this affair is probably the most recognizable). The show is very loosely based on reality, but the big points are all there: the separation of the Church of England from the Roman Catholic Church, the Reformation and his children: Mary, Elizabeth and Edward.
Anyway, like I said, the show covers practically his entire reign of England and it is utterly fantastic. It’s a Showtime production so it is just above and beyond. The costumes, the sets, the actors - all superb. For anyone who hasn’t seen please go rent it immediately, all four seasons are on dvd.

- kate: Amelia licked the bowl when I was making dessert and was going after the batter with great gusto. I said, "you know who else loves cheesecake, your sister Meghan."
- amelia: MEGHAN IS COMING FOR DINNER TONIGHT??!?!?!?!?
You really are my girl! That is one sweet bike. Love, Dad.
So I just finished Iron Man II. Most of you already know what a fiction geek I am - everything from LOTR to Star Wars to X Men - I’m your girl. Logically this means that I think Iron Man is freaking fantastic. It was a little rough for the first half hour or so - too much over the top Hollywood-sequel flashiness. But in true fiction-geek style by the end of the movie I had a huge grin on my face (and an imaginary fist pump in my head) as the good guy saves the day.
Oh, and it doesn’t hurt that Robert Downey Jr. is pretty freaking fantastic himself.
Like the new blog very much. I gotta get one of those 5 p.m. gigs. Love, Dad
Hey all - this is Meghan testing out the “comment” section - we’ll see how this works…
- Sean: did your ox die yet?
- Me: no - but one kid got carried off by an eagle and rex just got a broken arm. good news: i'm ahead of schedule
- Sean: hahahahahahahaha
mmm… easy. iphone. not very original im sure. but you should have seen the way i sobbed my eyes out when i shattered the screen - ha!
i had originally planned to wait to blog until everything “got in order”. you know - get fully unpacked, buy the couch, hang up the artwork… well that hasn’t happened… so i figured i might as well get started!
i am finally getting into a rhythm of non-campaign life (well, sort of, sean is still very much absent in the final two weeks of campaign season). but the good news is that i get to go to work at 9 and leave by 5 AND i get my weekends free. our production season is almost over (for those of you who haven’t seen where i work click here) we have two weeks left of The Diary of Anne Frank and then we move into end-of-year giving and the SLOW season! right now 9-5 feels slow, i can’t imagine what it will be like with no show!
anyway, now that i do have my weekends free, sean and i went to bishops to pick out a pumpkin for halloween (i have to keep up with tradition!) this sunday. once i figure out how to upload a picture ill post it ;) here’s the pumpkin! it was originally supposed to have 3 teeth - but i may or may not have had a little slip of the knife… oops!

they have a fantastic market where sean got his favorite fall treat: apple cider donuts and i picked up a bottle of their homemade hard cider with some crackers and brie for lunch. afterwards sean headed up to work and i came home and popped on a marathon of say yes to the dress on tlc and opened up a 1500 piece puzzle that i’ve had since before i moved out here. all in all not too shabby of a sunday =)
so there is a very very condensed version of what my life has been for last two months (in 5 more days i will have been at WCP for two months!). let me play around with this new website and ill get everything working.
disclaimer: i highly doubt ill be posting everyday like i did before - but ill do as much as i can!
